Case Background
Roshini, a seven years old
girl, is the second child of Mr.Yesukumar and Mrs. Indhumathi. In 2010, she suddenly contacted a severe
viral fever which was diagnosed as Acute Viral Hepatitis in a local clinic.
Hepatitis is an inflammation of the liver that can be caused by a group of
viruses.
Ekam’s Involvement
Roshini’s parents who are
economically very poor, approached Ekam Foundation to provide medical support for
this child. After verifying her family details, we immediately referred her
case to the Kanchi Kamakoti Child Trust Hospital. She was in hospital for four
days. All her hospitalization and medications costs (Hepatitis requires
prolonged treatment) were borne by the Ekam Foundation.
Current Status
Roshini is
now a healthy child and is living happily with her family.
